  1. Hi Elder Rivas,

We are officially now in Boise Idaho. We went to church for the first time in our new ward. There were over 100 Priesthood holders. The next week they were changing the stake presidency after nine years of service. We attended the meeting and it was in the stake center about the same size as Plainview. The place was filled to capacity. the entire building from front all the way to the stage in the back. plus all the class rooms with TV sets and two other buildings with closed circuit.

They had a visiting apostle Elder Anderson of the twelve was in attendance. I brought my two grand children and they got to shake his hand. What a great moment.

I still miss NY, waiting for my furniture to arrive on Wednesday maybe I will feel better about Boise Idaho. We have a community pool which means I get to swim with my grand kids but do not have to care for the pool.

When I get settled in maybe I will sneak over to visit you by accident, give me a couple of weeks.

The mountains and rivers are beautiful and the people are great but being with my family is even better. The Yankees are in first place, the Warriors won the NBA championship and Washington won the NHL Stanley Cup Championship. The FIFA world cup begins next week. Go Italia!

I hope your mission fills your soul. Providing service always makes you feel positive. I don’t know what I would have done if it wasn’t for the NY missionaries helping me and Thea when I was very sick. They would visit me when they didn’t have a lesson. They mowed the grass and painted, helped clean around the house and keep me company, they were a blessing.

I think about you all the time.

    1. Dear Brother Mansuetto,

I’m so happy to hear that you’re able hear that you’re enjoying your time in Idaho. Just like there is no place like New York, there is no place like Idaho!

To be able to meet and hear a living ordained apostle of the Lord is such a great blessing and a wonderful experience that your grandkids were able to have as well!

It’s awesome to hear about The cups and championships going on! When I’m back and go to Idaho for college we can watch on the big screen. It will be awesome!

I love you and your family. Thanks for all the memories we made and all the memories being made now! I pray that the Lord will be with you always as I know that His love and hand is always stretched forward to you and your families. And as always, if you need any help just give the missionaries a ring!

God be with you till we meet again, take care!
