The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a great blessing to those who hear and live it’s principles. Many times in life it gets hard, and at some points we feel as if it’s unbearable. We feel that nothing or anybody is able to help us overcome these large mountains and stumps on the road. Our Heavenly Father knew that we would experience difficulties as we live on this earth, which is why He had blessed us with the Jesus Christ and His Gospel.
His Atonement makes it possible for us to start over, and to have happiness in this life and the next. He knows everything that we go through.
In the Book of Mormon, Alma 7:11-13, it testifies what he had suffered so that we could have this happiness. It says:

11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
13 Now the Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me.

I know Jesus is the Christ and He lives. He understands everything that we go through. He loves all of us. All we have to do is come to Him, and accept Him. I bear witness of these things, and I do so in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

  1. Yesterday at sacrament the Cannon family gave their last talk before moving to Utah. We will be moving soon and if we want to see you it will have to be in California while on your mission.

We are driving the southern route to Boise Idaho. I hope when you get the opportunity to teach you tell them how much you love the church and that your desire is for them to be part of your joy.

    1. Dear Brother Mansuetto,

It’s good to hear from you! I hope everything is going well. I heard you’re heading out to Idaho very soon. Thank you for everything.

Know that I love you and I’m wishing the best for you! I’ll be seeing you over at Idaho after the mission if you’re still there. I hope you will! We could share some jokes and stories. Stay safe, and I’m grateful for the time I spent time with you over in New York. Please tell Sister Mansuetto I said hi!

The Lord will keep watching over you. May God be with you till we meet again Brother Mansuetto!

      With love,
      Elder Rivas
